Similar in presentation to the Grapefruit Talk, this talk includes a discussion of man and Being, the occurrences necessary for the formation of a soul, and the solar plexus as a "black box" (an unknowable and internally inaccessible source of catharsis).

This 2 CD set has been remastered from archival recordings. The recording has been recovered so that the talk is now easily understandable.

A review from Oz Fritz, the engineer who painstakingly remastered this talk:

This is an important, technical, and detailed talk on the evolution of being and its expansion into the body. It works with the idea that man's being, as it currently exists, is about the size of a grapefruit and will remain that way unless developed. Man's body and all its knowledge is a ghost compared to being which is the only thing inside man that is real. One's perceptions are unreal, ephemeral. You can have the knowledge which you need to do work if you can extend your being beyond a grapefruit. The body of completed man, one who has expanded one's being into the whole body, is analogous to cosmos on any scale. The human body is a blueprint for being.

Synopsis

The talk explores the fundamental dichotomy between "being" and "man," emphasizing that an eternal particle of existence (the "grapefruit") resides within planetary manifestations. It discusses the possibility of extending being into man, which leads to development of mind and soul. However, without effort, being simply remains as it is—unchanging, content, and eternal. The path to evolving beyond this state requires specific shocks, exercises, and intention. The speaker emphasizes that work must be done precisely and with purpose, beyond mere intellectual engagement.

Summary

The central theme of this talk is the distinction between an eternal particle of existence (referred to metaphorically as "the grapefruit") and the temporary form of "man," the surrounding physical and mental framework. The essential being within man is eternal, knowing only its existence without active development. Left undisturbed, it simply remains as it has always been.

However, the speaker argues that the extension of being into man presents an opportunity for growth. If successfully integrated, this leads to the formation of mind, the potential for transmutation, and—through continued refinement—the emergence of soul. Yet, this evolution is neither automatic nor ensured; it requires distinct shocks to the nervous system, disciplined work, and intentional suffering. Without active participation, one remains a "grapefruit," observing various transient coatings while fundamentally remaining unchanged.

The talk also highlights the dangers of engaging such work improperly, particularly regarding kundalini energy and the "black box" within the body. Careless tampering with these elements can disrupt the evolutionary process and even erase the matrix of man. Furthermore, it addresses the allure of temporary states of transcendence (via substances or momentary realizations), which can create complacency in being, preventing true transformation.

In conclusion, to move beyond the limitations of pure being and truly become a "complete man," one must engage in precise efforts on the nervous system and physical presence. The work is presented as neither a hobby nor an intellectual pursuit but as a disciplined, structured endeavor requiring the right conditions for genuine transformation.

Graphic Prompt

"A surreal, cosmic composition showing a floating, luminous grapefruit encased in a shifting, translucent human form. Ethereal pathways of light extend from the center of the grapefruit, connecting to intricate fractal-like blueprints that resemble nervous system patterns. In the background, vast cosmic structures resembling nebulas and planetary matrices unfold, symbolizing the eternal expanse of being. The color palette features deep blues, purples, and molten gold accents, evoking a mystical, transformative atmosphere."
